The Department of Health Sciences was established in 1999 and offers three programs which include: the Dietetic Internship Program, Medical Billing/Coding Program, and the Medical Transcription Program. Our Health Sciences Programs are among the finest in providing outstanding academic and clinical instruction. These programs provide an environment and curriculum specifically designed to meet the needs of the medical community.

The Medical Billing/Coding, as well as, Medical Transcription Program both emphasize knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Laboratory Medicine and Pharmacology, Human Diseases, and Surgical Procedures through online courses. The programs are designed for the student to meet practical skills required in the Billing/Coding, and/or Transcription Programs.

The post baccalaureate certificate program offered in the Dietetic Internship Program provides supervised practice experiences that meet the American Dietetic Association's requirements and prepares the student to take the Registration Exam for Dietitians. The program's emphasis in nutrition therapy and unique strength in nutrition diagnostics will provide future dietitians with the practice skills to meet the trends and priorities in the dietetics profession.
