Associate degree graduates are prepared to deliver competent, patient-focused nursing care to individuals in a variety of practice settings. While the majority of associate degree nurses are employed in hospitals, many opportunities are available in long-term care facilities, clinics and other community sites.

For graduates who desire a leadership role in provision of health care, the associate degree provides for direct entry into baccalaureate level nursing education
