Donna Mohl was born and raised in Iowa and moved to Missouri after completing her BSN at Union College in Lincoln, NE, in 1983. She completed her MSN at UMC in 1986 and her Post-Master’s FNP at UMC in 1995. She completed her PhD in Christian Counseling and Therapy in 2002. She has worked as a staff nurse in Maternal-Child Nursing, Critical Care, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Nurse Manager in Maternal-Child Nursing. She also worked in Public Health and Community Health as both staff nurse and nurse manager. She has taught nursing for many years and currently teaches at Cox College. She also practices part-time as an FNP in Urgent Care to maintain her clinical expertise. She is a consultant and instructor for a company that provides preparation for graduated nurses at the RN and LPN levels to take their NCLEX examinations. She has published several nursing articles, was a contributor to a Nurse Practitioner clinical handbook and has published a booklet for telephone Triage in the OB/GYN specialty. Donna’s husband of 32 years (Don) and she have 2 grown sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and one precious granddaughter. She and Don travel frequently with their “Ozark Mountain Gospel” music group “Simply His”. Don is a “Luthier” (he builds the traditional/Biblical instruments that Donna plays) and woodworker, building furniture and cabinets as well.
