Stacy Owens RN, MSN, FNP-C is originally from Emporia, Ks and moved to Springfield, Mo three years ago. She received her BSN from EmporiaStateUniversity in 1999. As a registered nurse, Stacy worked in the Emergency Room as well as at a federally funded community health center. She graduated from WichitaStateUniversity in Wichita, KS with her MSN and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2004. She practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner at St. John’s Ear, Nose, and Throat from 2004 to 2006.
In July of 2006, she began practicing with Ferrell-Duncan Cardiology. On August 1, 2007, she became Cox College Faculty. Stacy is an assistant professor and is involved in nursing 405 lab and lecture. She has given a presentation to peers at CoxCollege named “Implications for Pacemakers and Post-operative Care.” She also has active memberships in the honor societies of Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi.
